DevOps Manager

The Development Operations Manager is primarily responsible for keeping the daily work flowing. General:
Act as the lead organizer and strategist for the day to day operations of the sustaining engineering team
Oversee the implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions by the sustaining engineering team
Manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for flagship products including capacity and work planning, testing, peer code review and managing product deployments
Assist in requirements collection and scoping documentation
Management of developers’ work thru bugs, epics, features, user stories and tasks
Review work loads for development resources and schedule resources to meet appropriate deadlines.
Review timesheets for the sustaining engineering team
Review development team members performance and provide guidance to those team members for personal growth.
Streamline technical processes including identifying and documenting processes for business continuity.
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of experience leading a software development team
8+ years of experience making significant individual contributions to a software project
Ability to manage a small development team consisting of software engineers, test engineers and data engineers.
Track record of developing engineers through various career stages
Experienced in using and implementing an iterative process such as Agile to deliver software and data projects.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and deployment
Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages particularly C#
Managing developer work and deployments thru Azure DevOps
Proficient in C# .NET Framework, .NET Core & .NET 5+
Strong understanding of SQL and relational data structures under SQL Server
Experience with unit testing, integration and system testing utilizing Selenium and nUnit
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of the travel industry from multiple levels including back office accounting, front office, GDS systems and travel data lifecycle
Experience with building or maintaining reporting and data analytics solutions
Experience with Azure cloud computing particularly Azure Functions, Azure App Service, SQL Server Managed Instance or Azure SQL, Azure Blob and Azure Key Vault
Experience with Apache Kafka, Event Driven Design and Functions as a Service (FaaS)
Experience with alternate database systems such as SingleStore (formerly MemSql) or MySQL, Redis or similar technologies.
Familiarity with Apache Spark for distributed data processing
Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI

Pay Range
Commensurate with experience, $105,000 - $140,000, Full time employment
